CHARLOTTE, N.C. / Feb. 28, 2023 — Donna Kelly of Weichert, Realtors® - Sally Awad Group recently completed the required training courses to earn the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation. By completing the training, Donna furthered her skills and knowledge to better serve home buyers and sellers ages 50 and over.
The SRES designation courses are designed to educate practitioners about the key differences in housing options for seniors; applications of the Housing for Older Persons Act (HOPA); the ins and outs of reverse mortgages; how to use pensions, 401(k) accounts, and IRAs in real estate transactions; the ways in which Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security affect real estate decisions of clients ages 50 and over; and how to recognize and protect clients from mortgage finance and loan schemes that target borrowers ages 50 and over.
“Donna’s initiative to further her education by completing the SRES designation courses shows the commitment she has to serving her clients,” said Sally Awad, the company’s broker/owner.
